As a prerequisite, applicants to the MSc programs in both Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology must observe and/or meet with professionals in both Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology.
Applicants must arrange to observe and/or meet with at least one Audiologist AND one Speech-Language Pathologist. Virtual or informational interviews over the phone are acceptable. Most applicants identify local SLPs or Audiologists through an internet search or by using Speech and Hearing BC’s “Find a Professional” tool: https://speechandhearingbc.ca/public/find-a-professional/.
At the end of your letter of intent (statement), include a list of the names of the Audiologist AND Speech-Language Pathologists whom you have observed in clinical practice and/or met with to discuss the profession. Please note that only a list of the clinicians’ names is required. The number of observation numbers is not required.
