SASS Clinics

Welcome to the home page of our
UBC School of Audiology and Speech Sciences student-led, in-house clinics!

In 2021, the Academic Coordinators of Clinical Education (ACCE) Team initiated a special Augmentative Project to increase internal clinical learning opportunities. Two pilot projects were developed, to operate in-house clinics for speech-language pathology and audiology.

SASS Audiology Clinic:

The student-led SASS Audiology clinic was a pilot project that ran from January 15th, 2022 to April 2nd, 2022. The Audiology Clinic provided free hearing assessments to adults aged 19 years and older. Anyone from the UBC and Metro Vancouver was eligible to book an appointment.

The pilot project is now completed and we are no longer accepting new appointments at this time. However, if you wish to stay informed of any future clinics, please visit: SASS Audiology Clinic – Request an Appointment

For more information on our Audiology Clinic, please visit: SASS Audiology Clinic or email Grace Shyng, SASS Audiology Clinic Coordinator, grace.shyng@audiospeech.ubc.ca.

SASS Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) Clinic:

The student-led SASS SLP Clinic, in partnership with the UBC Physical Therapy and Research Clinic, was a pilot project that ran from September 27th to December 9th, 2021. The SLP clinic provided speech-language assessment and treatment services to adults with neurogenic communication disorders. The pilot project is now completed and is no longer accepting new patients at this time. However, if you wish to stay informed of any future clinics, please provide your contact information via the referral form.
