With more than 6,000 members, the Speech-Language & Audiology Canada (SAC) is the only national body that supports and represents the professional needs of speech-language pathologists, audiologists and supportive personnel inclusively within one organization. Through this support, SAC champions the needs of people with communications disorders.

The purpose of Speech and Hearing BC (formerly the British Columbia Association of Speech/Language Pathologists and Audiologists or BCASLPA) is to represent the interest of the professions of speech/language pathology and audiology and to promote the highest quality of service for the communicatively impaired in British Columbia.

The American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) is the professional, scientific, and credentialing association for 204,000 members and affiliates who are speech-language pathologists; audiologists; and speech, language, and hearing scientists in the United States and internationally.

The College of Health and Care Professionals of British Columbia is the regulatory body for audiologists, dietitians, hearing instrument practitioners, occupational therapists, opticians, optometrists, physical therapists, psychologists, and speech-language pathologists in B.C.
