If you are a non-native English speaker, and you do not have at least four years of continuous post-secondary education in an English-speaking university, there are English competency requirements that must be fulfilled upon applying to the MSc programs.
Applicants must provide proof of proficiency in English by meeting the following two requirements:
- Provide scores from one of the following tests: TOEFL (minimum acceptable score for admission is 600 paper version, 250 computer version, 100 internet version); IELTS (minimum acceptable score for admission is 7). All applicable test scores must be sent from TOEFL or IELTS directly to The School of Audiology and Speech Sciences.
- Provide a five to ten-minute recording of your speech (electronic audio file e.g. MP3). This speech sample may be on any topic, as long as it is neither read nor recited. A telephone interview may follow. The recording should be sent by you to The School of Audiology and Speech Sciences.
