Experimental Eskimos” Documentary Showing

Please join us for a viewing of the following film in Room 355 on Monday January 20 from 12:05-12:55. The film is titled, “Experimental Eskimos”, a 2009 Canadian documentary directed by Barry Greenwald.

“The ‘Experimental Eskimos’ documents an …attempt at social engineering…[following] Peter Ittinuar, Zebedee Nungak and Eric Tagoona, who, as 12-year-old boys, were shipped South in the early 1960s …to attend schools in Ottawa….The film features…forgotten archival footage, family photos and government documents”.
