Lunchtime Colloquium with Dr. Samantha Siyambalapitiya on Wednesday 10 October

We are pleased to announce that Dr. Samantha Siyambalapitiya from Griffith University in the Gold Coast, Australia will be visiting our School next week. She will giving a talk about her research on Wednesday and we look forward to hearing all about it!

TITLE: Bilingual Aphasia and Beyond – The Evolution of a Research Agenda for CALD Populations

Samantha Siyambalapitiya, PhD, is a speech pathologist and Senior Lecturer in the School of Allied Health Health Sciences at Griffith University, Australia and a member of the Menzies Health Institute Queensland. She has been a foundation staff member of two new speech pathology programs at James Cook University and Griffith University and has taught across a range of areas including anatomy, research methods, complex case management and acquired neurogenic communication disorders. Her research focuses on understanding and improving the management of communication disability in individuals who are from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, including bilingual speakers.
