Congratulations, Katharine Davies!

Congratulations to SASS PhD student Katharine Davies, who was selected to receive a travel grant from The Canadian Institutes of Health Research – Institute of Aging (CIHR- IA) and the Canadian Conference on Dementia (CCD) to attend the Canadian Conference on Dementia.

Kate will be presenting her poster based on some of her PhD research entitled: “’I used to be a storyteller’: People with primary progressive aphasia share their perspectives on communication needs and concerns for themselves and their family members.”

The 11th Canadian Conference on Dementia, held in Toronto on November 2-4, 2023, brings together a group of national and international scholars to share clinically relevant, cutting-edge developments in dementia research. This year’s theme is ‘Better and Earlier Detection of Dementia in a Changing Landscape.’

Great job, Kate!
